Zwartboek is a thriller war film directed by Paul Verhoeven starring Carice van Houten, Sebastian Koch, Thom Hoffman
and Halina Reijn.
The story is about a young Jewish woman in the Netherlands trying to survive at the end of World War II.
She joins the resistance to find out who betrayed her family after all of them were killed in an attempt to reach the liberated
south.
The film had its world premiere on 1 September 2006 at the Venice Film Festival where it was nominated. It was also a
Dutch submission for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 2007.
Soon, it will be showing on cinemas in Korea.
